TWO BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN VASES WITH COVERS, 17th CENTURYChina, Transitional period, early 17th century. Both of cylindrical shape with waisted feet and straight necks, the doomed covers surmounted by a round finial. Each vase painted in underglaze blue with two reserves, one enclosing flowers issuing from weathered rocks and the other a fisherman scene, the foot and cover with floral decoration and a geometric band below the mouth rim. Condition: Each cover with a chip. The vases with surface wear and scratches, one vase with hairlines and touch ups to the lower body, the other broken into pieces and reassembled. Provenance: Austrian private collection. Weight: 374 g (total) Dimensions: 14.5 cm each
