A CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL ‘FLOWER’ SNUFF BOTTLE, c. 1920sChina, late Qing dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). Of tapered quatre-lobed form, supported on a recessed rectangular foot, with gently sloping shoulders, and a short tapering neck. Finely decorated in enamels and gilt wire with four panels, the main sides showing blossoming flowers on a turquoise ground. The narrow sides and the shoulders decorated with a leafy chrysanthemum design surrounded by vines on a black ground, and the neck encircled by a band of stiff leaves. The bottom with the characters for cloisonné.Condition: Good condition with minor wear, microscopic nibbling, slight surface scratches, and manufacturing flaws, such as pitting.
