A GREEN, AUBERGINE, AND YELLOW-GLAZED TRIPOD CENSER, LIAO DYNASTY
China, 907-1125. Of circular form, the straight sides covered in dark green, aubergine, and pale-yellow glazes, a wide continuous band on the outside encloses a formal floral decoration of chrysanthemum and scroll designs. Supported on three short feet, the rim of the base decorated with a scalloped band, the green glaze continuing over the mouth and stopping in a slightly irregular line below the rim, the base left unglazed.

Condition:
Good condition, commensurate with age. Extensive wear as expected with flaking, crackling and losses to the glaze. Small chips, a minor hairline to the rim and sides. Encrustations. The base drilled.

遼代五彩花卉三足爐

中國，907-1125年。三足呈圓形，外壁使用深綠色、紫紅色和淡黃色釉描繪菊花和卷草花卉紋。爐底三短足，飾貝紋，綠色釉從口部，止於口沿下方，不規則的線條，底座未施釉。
