A JIZHOU PHOSPHATIC-SPLASHED DARK BROWN BOWL, SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY
China, 1127-1279. The bowl is potted with conical sides rising to the finger-grooved rim, applied with a lustrous dark brown glaze splashed with variegated russet and pale milky brown on the interior. The glaze is finely crackled overall, but the foot is left unglazed exposing the bowl’s buff body.


Provenance:
From a private estate in Yorkshire, United Kingdom.

Condition:
Good condition, commensurate with age, with wear and some firing irregularities. The interior with scratching to the base, chips to the rim, some flaking, and wear to the foot.

南宋吉州窯褐色釉斑紋碗


中國，1127-1279年。碗口微斂，口沿有指紋印，斜腹，淺圈足。器內外壁赤褐色和淺褐色釉，釉色有光澤，不同顏色的釉層相互映襯，絢爛富有變化，有細碎裂紋。底足露胎，露出淺黃色胎。
