A two-edged iron sword of piled construction with broad tapering blade and shallow fuller to each face, curved quillons with flared ends, broad tang, faceted pommel of 'brazil nut' form; blade with brass-inlaid Lombardic-style lettering to one face 'ORVSEMDNVS' and three roundels with rosettes to the reverse.
