A two-edged iron sword with slender, lentoid-section tapering blade of piled construction with square shoulder, square-section crossguard with gentle curve, rectangular-section tang and faceted pommel of Type II. The blade is remarkably slender and insubstantial in relation to the weighty pommel, while the tang is exceptionally thick for a blade of this size. Fine condition.
