A rectangular wooden icon with recess to the obverse, painted border framing a gilt field with two facing robed and nimbate figures each holding a small casket with discs within; legend '?? ?????? / Koc ???? / Mac ???c' (the saints Kosmas Damianos); signed at the lower right Dia xeiros A. Evangelopoulou (By the hand of Evangelopoulou); suspension loop to the reverse. See Weizmann, K. et al. The Icon, New York, 1982. 761 grams, 30 x 22cm (11 3/4 x 8 1/2").
