Dimensions: Height: 19cm, Width: 8.5cm Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Qianlong Cong porcelain bottle. The porcelain potted in Cong is a kind of cylindrical jade round inside and square outside, consisting of a circular tube shape with protruding square corners. Its square and circular shape could be interpreted as the unity of heaven and earth where the square represents the earth and a circle represents heaven. Warm and uniform grayish glaze applied to the whole body. Decorated with hand-painting in grayish underglaze base color which contrast against the Ge design color. Distinctive GE crackled glaze also known as jinsi tiexian which translates to mean gold floss and iron thread which details the look of several lines that appear in the crackled surface. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, Made In The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
