Dimensions: Height: 11", Width: 19", Depth: 19" Chinese Qing Dynasty Period Huanghuali dressing Cabinet. The Cabinet is made of a single piece of first-class hardwood, short rectangles with pair panel doors. The box is mounted with ruyi-shaped fittings, lock plate and the upper mate carved with ruyi medallion and interlocking wanli motif. The four legs are fully decorated with floral designs, ending with inward-curving horse hoof feet. The Huanghuali wood displays a dense hardwood, with deep-brown strikes over golden-black shades tone and translucent shimmering surface with abstractly figured patterns and sweet fragrance of huali distinguishes it from the similar appearing but pungent-adored hongmu. It is intact, with exquisite mortise-tenon technique.
