Chinese Qing Dynasty Yongzheng Emperor Reign period, blue & white wrapped floral porcelain centerpiece. Potted in a shape of a simply deep vessels bowl, the rounded cavetto gently rising the sides toward the flat rim, round flaring upward to form the wide opening rim, raised upon a concaved foot base with a slightly raised footing. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the cobalt blue fine color. The exterior delicately fine decorated with abundant lotus flowers blooms interspersed with scrolling tendril and vines, enclosed with double fine blue rings lines. The lotus is one of the most significant flowers in the Chinese culture. It symbolizes the holy seat of Buddha. Because the flower rises from the mud and blooms in exquisite beauty it symbolizes perfection and purity of both the heart and mind. It also represents long life and honor.
