L’oeuvre sur soie présentée ici reprend des scènes déjà exploitées par l’artiste à l’image de cette conversation intimiste à laquelle le spectateur semble participer, alors qu’en second plan, un cavalier apparait, hélé par un quatrième personnage, anonyme, de dos. L’attention est orientée vers le cheval dont la robe grise semble trancher avec le reste de la composition.
C’est donc au travers de cette délicate fusion que le peintre parvient à exprimer ce subtil équilibre des cultures et adoucit la nostalgie de son pays natal.

Le collectionneur Nguyen Minh dira d’ailleurs des œuvres de Vu Cao Dam : « Ces créations sont inspirées de paysages et de scènes du Vietnam, où elles ont vu le jour. Elles sont marquées par l’âme du pays et les caractéristiques des femmes vietnamiennes ».

The work on silk presented at the sale takes up themes already explored by the artist, like this intimist conversation, which seems to include the viewer. Meanwhile, in the background, we see a rider, hailed by an anonymous fourth figure seen from behind. The eye is drawn to the horse, whose grey coat seems to contrast strongly with the rest of the composition.

Through this delicate blend, the painter expresses a subtle balance of cultures and a mellow nostalgia for his native land. The collector Nguyen Minh said of Vu Cao Dam: «His works are inspired by the landscapes and scenes of Vietnam, where they were created. They are imbued with the soul of the country and the characteristics of Vietnamese women.»

Tác phẩm về lụa được bày bán bao gồm những cảnh đã được nghệ sĩ khai thác trong hình ảnh của cuộc trò chuyện thân mật này mà người xem dường như tham gia, trong khi ở hậu cảnh, một người cưỡi ngựa xuất hiện, được một nhân vật thứ tư, ẩn danh, gọi từ phía sau. Sự chú ý hướng về con ngựa có lông màu xám dường như nổi bật với phần còn lại của bố cục.

Do đó, thông qua sự hợp nhất tinh tế này, họa sĩ có thể thể hiện sự cân bằng tinh tế của các nền văn hóa và làm dịu đi nỗi nhớ về quê hương của mình.

Nhà sưu tập Nguyễn Minh cũng nói về các tác phẩm của Vũ Cao Đàm « Những sáng tạo này được lấy cảm hứng từ phong cảnh và cảnh vật Việt Nam, nơi chúng được sinh ra. Chúng mang dấu ấn linh hồn của đất nước và đặc điểm của người phụ nữ Việt Nam».
