n Indonesian (Java) Gautama Buddha in 13th century Majapahit style. The Buddha is stood samabhanga on a round lotus petal base. His robe is draped over both shoulders. The lower hem of the robe comes all the way down so that the under-cloth or skirt is completely covered. He has a third eye or urna on his forehead symbolizing the ability of Buddha to see past our mundane universe of suffering. He has a large ushnisha protuberance on top of his head that symbolizing his high level of spiritual development.A halo sits behind the head of the Buddha.
