A Chinese porcelain black-glazed bowl, Song dynasty, on a short foot, with rounded sides rising to a slightly everted rim, the exterior covered in a black-brown glaze that covers the base and foot, the interior covered in a clear glaze, the rim unglazed, 15.5cm diameter宋 黑釉白口盌c.f. A similar, slightly larger, bowl from the Hunyuan kiln sites in Shanxi province, dated to the Song dynasty, can be found in the collection of the Ashmolean Museum, EA1956.1373. 品相報告 Condition Report: An old hairline crack running down from the rim, with some small areas of restoration around this area. Some glaze flaws present, with some deep pits to the exterior glaze. Surface wear commensurate with age.
