The Buddha of endless life and pristine awareness depicted here as the central figure surrounded by 108 smaller likenesses arranged in 13 horizontal registers. Amitayus, portrayed in red, is seated on a lotus throne holding both hands in the mudra of meditation, supporting a long life vase and surrounded by a green nimbus. He is adorned with a crown, necklaces and bracelets with jewels and draped with a green scarf flowing around his arms.
Shape: Rectangular vertical shape
Dimensions: 62,5 x 45 cm (painting size), 129 x 71 (mounting)
Condition: Partial loss of painting and minor wear, otherwise good condition. Some tears in the mounting.
