A PAIR OF LARGE GILT-LACQUERED WOODEN PANELS, QING DYNASTYChina, Qing dynasty (1644-1912). Each of rectangular form, finely lacquered in gilt on black and red ground. Meticulously carved in openwork and incised with peonies, gourds and scrolling foliage. Condition: Good condition overall commensurate with age, showing old wear, rubbing to lacquer, age cracks, minor chips, and tiny losses. Provenance: European private collection.
