A BRONZE ‘LUDUAN’ CENSER, EARLY QINGChina, early Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). The beast cast standing, its head functioning as the hinged cover, with bulging eyes, bushy eyebrows, scrolling mane, a horn issuing from the top of its head, the mouth wide open revealing teeth, sharp fangs, and tongue. The body adorned with a scrolling flame design. Condition: Very good condition with minor traces of wear and age, and small casting flaws. Provenance: North American trade.
