A PAINTED WOOD FIGURE OF PADMAPANI LOKESHVARAHimalayan region, 19th century. The bejeweled Bodhisattva standing in tribhanga on a circular double lotus base, his right hand lowered in varada mudra and the left facing down, wearing a long flowing dhoti secured with a billowing sash, sacred thread, and foliate tiara, his serene face with downcast eyes and full lips, flanked by floral earrings. Painted in red, black, green, and white, several jewels inlaid with turquoises. Condition: Worn condition, minor age cracks, few chips, and fading colors. The base with a reattached breakage.
