A PAINTED TIBETAN WOOD FIGURE OF PADMSAMBHAVATibet, 19th century. Seated on a lotus base above a separately carved rectangular wood pedestal, holding a vajra in his right hand, dressed in voluminous garments neatly painted with an ornamental gilt pattern above a polychrome lacquer ground, the skin painted in gold, the face surmounted by his classical hat. The deity is flanked by his consorts, and all is backed by a flaming mandorla.Condition: With some old wear, small nicks, age cracks, and losses. Overall presenting well.
