A THANKGA OF THE FIVE FOREMOST DEITIES, 19TH CENTURYTibet. Distemper on cloth, with a silk frame, mounted as a hanging scroll with wood handles. Depicting the Female Goddess (mo lha) wearing ornamented silk clothing, with a body white in color, one face and two hands, the right hand holds an arrow and the left a mirror, on horseback. Flanked by four gods, the Life God (srog lha), the Male God (po lha), the Regional God (yul lha) and the Enemy God (dra lha), at the top center is the wrathful Vajrapani.Condition: Good condition with minor wear, little soiling, minor creases, and tiny losses.
