A SONG STYLE CRACKLE GLAZE PORCELAIN VASE, HU, c. 1920sChina, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). The well-potted vase of archaistic design, with a globular body bearing two horizontally incised bowstring lines, rising to an everted neck and gently rounded rim, flanked by a pair of cylindric ‘touhu’ handles. Covered overall in a beige glaze with a network of dark gray crackles stopping at the unglazed foot ring dressed in a dark brown wash. Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and firing irregularities. Provenance: Parisian private collection, acquired from a British collector before 2010.
