A LOT WITH TWO PYU RINGS SURMOUNTED BY TIGERSBurma / Myanmar region, presumably Pyu city states (200-1000 AD) or later. One carved from stone and the other made of transparent turquoise colored glass, each carved to the top with a recumbent tiger. Condition: Very good condition with expected traces of wear and use, little nibbling, and signs of weathering. Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above. Dr. István Zelnik, President of the Hungarian South and Southeast Asian Research Institute, is a former high-ranking Hungarian diplomat who spent several decades in Southeast Asia, building the largest known private collection of Asian art in Europe.
