A BURMESE GOLD BRACELET SET WITH RUBIESBurma / Myanmar, 19th century or earlier. Of circular form, cast with cubes inset with rubies, within beaded decoration and a pair of ribbed globular beads flanking a central cube set with an opening mechanism, with hinged lower section. Alloy composition analysis: Gold 18 karat. The bracelet was tested by the Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum.Condition: Very good condition with expected traces of use and wear. Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above.
