A BURMESE ´MONK´ BOWL WITH COVERNorth Thailand/ Burma, 20th century. Crafted from clay and coated in black. The bowl rising from a high spreading foot to a slightly flaring rim, the interior set with a small plaque decorated in relief with a monk, the domed cover surmounted by a seated monk holding a spherical object in his lap. Condition: Good condition with traces of use and wear, minor nicks here and there. Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum.
