A LARGE FOUR-TIERED LACQUERED BAMBOO BETEL BOX, 1900-1950Burma / Myanmar. Comprising two stackable trays with a base and cover, finely painted overall in red, black, and yellow to depict geometric and floral patterns, the top of the lid centered with a figure within a double circle, all executed in the yun (incised) technique. The interior is coated in cinnabar red.Condition: Very good condition, few expected age cracks, minor nicks and chips, as well as small lacquer flakes. Fine, naturally grown patina.
