A PERSIAN PARCEL-GILT SILVER REPOUSSÉ ‘HUNTER’ DISHPersia, 17th century or earlier. The flat dish with a lipped rim, centered by a hunter on a camel, poised to shoot an arrow at three deer running in front of him, the ground beneath the hunter shows a fourth deer that has already been struck by an arrow, the depiction is highlighted in gilding. Alloy composition analysis: Silver 85.8% purity. The dish was tested by the Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum.Condition: Good condition, minor wear, small dents, few nicks and light surface scratches. Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above.
