A ceramic aquamanile formed as a standing caprid with head on a long arched neck, painted linear detailing to the flanks and chest, hollowed eyes, filling tube behind the shoulders with strap handle from the rim, spout to the chest, two stub legs to the rear. 917 grams, 19cm (7 1/2"). Property of a central London collector; previously with a central London gallery; accompanied by the original Thermoluminescence analysis report by The Research Laboratory for Archaeology and The History of Art, Oxford University, dated 16 June 1981.
