Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Qianlong red monochrome porcelain vase. The porcelain potted in vase shape, oval lower belly, thick, with rounded shoulder, long cylindrical neck, with close and straight mouth rim, raised on short small round, with slight concaved foot base. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in masterfully covered in an even coat of a deep red glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white under glaze. The red glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The foot rim reveals the cut edges during the making process, and the receded central interior base left white under glaze. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. Mark on under base, a six under glazed blue seal script characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty. Dimensions: 4.75"L x 7.5"H
