Fossiliferous limestone consisting of calcite or aragonite, that contains an abundance of fossil traces, both of macroscopic and microscopic size. Well hand-polished finish.. China, 1750-1850
It is rare to find a limestone with such an expressive yet regular pattern of fossilized shells and microfossils.
Shape: Elongated, slightly bulbous rectangular shape with rounded shoulders
Hollowing: Excellent
Mouth, neck and lip: Cylindric neck, small almost cylindric mouth, the base of neck slightly domed, the lip slanted
Base: Oval with raised, thick foot rim
Stopper: Glass in imitation of coral on a vinyl platelet
Height of the bottle with stopper: 8 cm.
Width of the mouth: 6 mm.
Width of the neck: 20 mm.
Condition: Excellent
