Cast, engraved and enameled bronze with cloisonné candle holders with an incised fire-gilt flame on top.. China, likely 19th century
Five coiled dragons emerge from the center pole, four carrying one candle holder each, the fifth spitting a large dominating flame. The heads of the dragons show multicolor enamel inlay work. The candle holders bear a blue and green wave design.
Shape: The candle holders come in classic shape and are carried by sculpturally designed dragons
Dimensions: Height 39.5 cm.
Condition: Extensive wear and patina. Minor losses and chipping to the enamel of the dragon heads. Some minor soldering. The top piece re-attached. This piece must once have been the upper element of a larger candelabra.
Provenance: Austrian private collection.
清代景泰藍龍紋燭臺
大面積磨損和斑點,龍頭琺琅輕微損失并有小裂縫。一些
小焊接點,頂部重新組裝過。這建築太應該是更大燭臺上
的一部分。
