Light green celadon jade with partial darker inclusions and calcified areas, fine and smooth surface polish. China, Qing Dynasty (1644-1911)
Oval carving in the flattened shape of stylized cicada with broad head and pointed fins, the frontside with finely incised cicada relief in archaic style, the head with large protruding circular eyes and curled antennae, the surface of the wings with a geometrical C-scroll pattern, verso with plain slightly domed surface
Shape: Oval elongated shape with flattened sides, the front with shallowly incised relief, at the tip of the head two drilling holes for the mounting
Dimensions: 7,3 cm (height), 4,2 cm (width), 1 cm (depth)
Condition: Very good condition with natural veining of the stone, fine and smooth hand patina
