This lot comprises a total of eight neatly embroidered sleeve bands, building four matching pairs. The green background pair features chrysanthemums and the character for double happiness Xi. Sleeve bands such as these were used to adorn wedding robes. The others depict birds, bats, butterflies and rich floral decoration respectively people in a lovely landscape.

Dimensions: Largest in group: 14 x 110 cm; smallest in group: 10 x 76 cm
Condition: Some discoloration and stains at the margins, smaller tears or holes and few loose threads
