Silk with multi-colored silk & gold brocade threads. China, late Qing Dynasty

This lot comprises a total of eight delicately embroidered sleeve bands, building four matching pairs. All show human beings in mesmerizing landscapes. We can see court ladies, love couples and peasants amidst mountains, rivers, flowers and rock formations.

Shape: Rectangular, vertical sleeve bands
Dimensions: Largest in group: 18 x 105 cm; smallest in group: 10 x 94 cm
Condition: Some discoloration and stains at the margins, smaller tears or holes and few loose threads
