Textured silk with multi-colored silk and gold brocade threads, with woven application borders, inside with silk lining, four fabric buttons and loops at the front. China, late Qing dynasty

This bright blue Changyi robe shows delicate embroidery of floral arrangements. At the hems woven borders are applied and joined by an embroidered band featuring butterflies and flowers, highlighted by the use of gold brocade. Richly decorated, creme colored silk bands with vessels, fruits and flowers further adorn the sleeves.

Condition: Very good condition with minor staining and very few open stitches or loose threads. Inside lining is worn and shows small holes and tears
