A stunning Pair of Chinese Ming Wanli vases. Wucai gu Chinese porcelain beaker having baluster shaped body, with cylindrical midsection, a large trumpet-shaped neck extending into an expansive opening, raised on a prominent splayed foot base. Three separate mythical creatures are depicted on these vases starting with the dragon, crane, and Fu-dog. Each animal figure is bordered by colorful tessellating patterns. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous craftsman. Mark on base, a vertical six blue underglazed script -KaiShu- characters, enclosed by double fine blue square borders, WanLi Reign Period of Great Ming Dynasty.
