Chinese Zitan altar table, constructed with a single-panel top set within the wide rectangular frame with beaded edge above carved aprons and open-works carved ruyi motif spandrels, the whole supported on four shaped legs of rounded section, joined by pairs of stretchers; spreading wider to the foot. The HuangHuaLi wood displays a dense hardwood and translucent shimmering surface with abstractly figured patterns appearing like ghost faces motif.
