Enthralling Chinese Porcelain vase, adorned with precise iron-red imagery. A celestial shaped vase, globular body, long tapered neck forming an ovoid opening, with a concave footed base. The exterior is adorned with a domineering serpentine Dragon that is coated in an iron-red underglaze. The central dragon thrashes among floral blooms and lotus vines. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity; Along with the lotus flower symbolizing truth, fertility, and purity. Depictions are painted on top of a pure white underglaze. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous craftsman. Mark on base, a six blue underglazed seal script -ZhuanShu- characters, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
