The Chinese beaker vase potted in shape of a traditional Gu form. The beaker having baluster shaped body, with bulging belly, trumpet-shaped neck is painted in vivid red glaze. The exterior is uniformly coated in a beautiful monochrome red glaze that shows an even thickness throughout. The red glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous craftsman. The underside base reveals the pale white underglaze with a few striations. Mark on base, a six blue underglazed seal script -ZhuanShu- characters, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
