Opaque glass of intense and rich egg yolk color, with almost invisible horizontal bands. Excellent glossy surface polish.. China, later Qing dynasty
This bottle is a good example for a really good ‘imperial’ yellow color. There is no decoration whatsoever, only the beauty of the material. Beijing glass workshops.
Shape: Slightly bulbous heart shape, the form slightly unsteady
Hollowing: standard
Mouth, neck and lip: Tapered cylindric neck, the base of neck flat, the mouth cylindric and of smaller size, slanted lip
Base: Oval, with raised foot rim
Stopper: Malachite on a black onyx platelet
Height of the bottle with stopper: 6.2 cm.
Width of the mouth: 6 mm.
Width of the neck: 16 mm.
Condition: Excellent condition, microscopic nibbling to outer lip
