Copper with painted enamels. China, 1850-1930
A typical work of the 19th/early 20th century Cantonese school of enameled wares. Painted on white ground using a pallet of subdued colors dominated by dusky pink and variations of pale green. Both sides show a centered medallion, one with two boys in a garden, the other with a single boy. The sides and shoulders with a continuous floral border, the neck with a meander.

Mouth, neck and lip: Ring shaped lip of naked bronze with dark patina, broad mouth
Base: Oval, of slightly raised naked bronze, the foot covered in white enamel
Stopper: Carved and green stained bone or tusk, nice old ivory spoon
Height of the bottle with stopper: 6.5 cm
Width of the mouth: 6 mm
Width of the neck: 13 mm
Condition: Excellent
