Sewing box for a noble lady, made for the European market, rectangular body with beveled corners and domed cover, front with flat rectangular drawer and two locks with one small key, the cover decorated with a large rectangular cartouche on an ornamental background and framed by bats, butterflies and foliage, idyllic garden scene, populated with leisure groups of personage in front of pavilions, the sides decorated in similar style, inside with tray inlay and three similar decorated covers, two curved brass handles on the sides.
Shape: Rectangular shape with beveled corners, flat domed cover
Dimensions: 35,5 cm (length), 13,7 cm (height), 25,7 cm (width)
Condition: Overall good condition, traces of age and use, partly cracks to the lacquer and small losses in the material
