Ceramic with Longquan glaze. China, 14th century – Yuan or very early Ming Dynasty
This early ceramic dish shows an even longquan celadon glaze. The carved petal décor and the barbed, floral rim mark it is an early piece dating to the transition period of the Yuan and Ming dynasties. On the underside we find old collector’s numberings.
Shape: Dish with stylized floral rim.
Dimensions: Diameter is 23,5 cm; height is 5 cm
Condition: One firing fault restored, wear and surface scratches, otherwise in good condition consistent with age
