Silk with multi-colored silk & gold brocade threads. China, late Qing Dynasty

This lot comprises a total of ten delicately embroidered sleeve bands, building five matching pairs. One crème colored pair of bands features a picturesque river landscape with bridges, boats and pavilions. The other four pairs all show vivid scenes with courtiers, contemplating in palace garden surroundings.
