This lot comprises a total of ten richly embroidered sleeve bands, building five matching pairs. Three pairs show auspicious objects and traditional Chinese symbols such as the magical pearl, bats or swastika and shou signs. The other two feature lively scenes with courtiers, contemplating in palace garden surroundings.
Shape: Rectangular, vertical sleeve bands
Dimensions: Largest in group: 9 x 107 cm; smallest in group: 9 x 83 cm
Condition: Some discoloration and stains at the margins, smaller tears or holes and few loose threads
