A LOT WITH THREE SAWANKHALOK CERAMIC ITEMSThailand/ Sawankhalok/ Sukhothai Province - 14th - 16th century. Comprising a covered bowl of compressed globular from, rising from a short ringed foot to a decorative finial, the exterior neatly incised with triangular patterns, covered overall in a crackled celadon glaze, the foot, underside, rims, and interior of the cover unglazed revealing the brown body. Together with two figurines, each molded as a man on horseback, both the horse and the rider depicted in a whimsical style, with exaggerated features and unrealistic proportions, one figure covered in white glaze, the other in a brownish green glaze with black detailing, both having an appealing glossy finish ending above the horse´s hoofs and revealing the brown bodies.Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and firing irregularities. The white glazed figurine with remains of black paint. Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above.
