AN ANCIENT FIGURE OF A HORSE RIDERPresumably Southeast Asia, date uncertain. The earthy stoneware carved as a figure on horseback, the rider is short in stature and has a large head with stylized facial features, the horse is also stylized, with short legs and a long body, defined with tail, ears, round eyes, the mouth is shown by a line. Condition: Good condition, commensurate with age, and presenting well. Extensive wear, losses, signs of weathering and erosion. Repaired breakage. Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above.
