Ivan Albright, an American painter noted for his meticulously detailed, exaggeratedly realistic depictions of decay and corruption is considered to be a magic realist. He was possessive of his meticulously done paintings and asked 30 to 60 times what comparable artists were asking. He continued to paint, even on his deathbed after a stroke.
