Oscar F. Bluemner (1867-1938) “Inlet with Boat” watercolor and graphite on paper, 5” x 7”, monogrammed and inscribed lower center, excellent condition. Bluemner evolved from impressionism and urban subject in the manner of known American artist Maurice Prendergast, to a geometric style of Cubism and Futurism. His work was well received by the critics, especially when he was endorsed and promoted by Alfred Stieglitz who sponsored Bluemner's first American exhibition.
